Our History

Started in 2016 by three like-minded individuals with a common goal, Virtual Information Technolgy has grown and changed. However, the desire to deliver exceptional ICT support and service remain.

 At the end of 2016 we saw major paradigm shift coming in the IT industry with new anti-virus, network and data protection companies warning of things to come and decided to change VIT’s primary focus to Cyber Security.

 In 2017, we were one of the first IT consulting companies in Tasmania to employ a dedicated ICT Security Specialist and begin our partnership with CrowdStrike.

Today we support customers nationally with their business applications and cybersecurity needs. 2020 is a milestone for us, reaching our goal of providing Managed Security Services and Incident Response to customers, which we set in 2017.

 Looking to the future, we now aim to build on our current offerings and provide a broader range of cybersecurity services to the community.
